Description
Proptosis is an abnormal protrusion of eyeball which is commonly seen in Graves’ disease, orbital abscess and orbital haemorrhage. Orbital decompression is the surgery which an ENT surgeon performs endoscopically by removing a part of the wall(s) of the orbit followed by either removing fat or draining pus or blood collected behind the eye ball.
